Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency would like to inform you of their scholarship program for Mississippi senior high school graduates. They will award the following scholarships: You do not have to be a registered donor to apply for this scholarship.
Allie Carruth Memorial Scholarship——$5,000
Matthew Gaskin Memorial Scholarship—$1,000
Annie Lucious Gift of Life Scholarship—–$1,000
Dr. Shirley Schlessinger Scholarship——-$1,000
Two Scholarships——————————$500 each.
Scholarship Guidelines:
Must be a graduating senior
Must be accepted by a college or university
Two letters of recommendation
Write an essay of 300 to 750 words on one of the following topics:
Why are you a registered organ and tissue donor?
The importance of encouraging others to be an organ or tissue donor.
How have you or your family been affected by organ and tissue donation or by transplantation of organs and/or tissue?
Why do you want to be an organ and tissue donor?
